Advantages of using the HCTS2000

Faster processing and increased throughput
The HCTS2000 dramatically increases the speed and accuracy of
processing samples in the entrance area of a laboratory and the
Haematology department. Manual sorting based upon visual reading of a
barcode is time-consuming and inevitably results in human error. The
HCTS2000 can sort up to 2000 tubes per hour, thus eliminating the
bottle-neck caused by hand sorting in the entrance area. As a result of
faster processing, the HCTS2000 increases total laboratory throughput
without the added costs of additional employees.

Flexible adjustments to different situations
Flexibility remains vital to maintaining productivity in the laboratory. The
HCTS2000 provides users with the ability to react immediately to changing
situations by using any of 10 pre-programmed sorting rules. These rules
can be easily created and changed by the user. Switching between these
rules is simple - just stop the device, select a new sorting rule and re-start
the device.

Electronic entrance control of probes
Many laboratories are changing their organization to electronic “Order
Entry.” As a result, many sample tubes are recognized very late in the
process. By using the HCTS2000 in the entrance area of the laboratory,
the arrival of the tube is forwarded to the Laboratory Information System
(LIS) at a very early stage, even if the sorting itself does not require a
query.

Cost-effective solution
The HCTS2000 reduces costs considerably through the reduced person
bonding in the sorting process and the elimination of human error resulting
from manual processing. An example of the effect on overall work-flow
can be obtained by contacting us for further information. We can provide
your laboratory with a sample calculation that will prove the benefits of
using the HCTS2000.
HCTS2000 (High-Speed Closed Tube Sorter)

A bulk load of primary tubes is thrown into the funnel-shaped entrance hopper of the HCTS2000 (High-Speed Closed Tube
Sorter). Each tube is isolated, identified and sorted into 7 to 57 channels. Optionally, the HCTS2000 can be connected to an
external transportation belt for automatic laboratory processing or the tubes can be placed in external racks.
